- Questions were raised about fuzzy logic and its relevance to the system.
Particularly the thesaurus module was discussed because there was much confusion
about how fuzzy logic helped the system. Essentially the conclusion was reached
that the fuzzy portion helped deal with many the many synonyms that can be used
for a certain piece of software.
- Another issue was the method at which COOR was able to automatically parse and
incorporate into its data bases large sets of modules. Concern was raised that the
manager of such a system
would spend too long entering in what a module does and how it goes about it. The need
for a standardized syntax and language governing the documentation of software was stressed.
- Practical issues such as availability and platform were also discussed. The software price
was unknown however it was decided that in general it was aimed at quite large corporations
for managing large software bases. The software is available on MS Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
Development tools included C++, Paradox and some small OO languages.
